Server rules

CobbleShine is for players of all ages. These rules keep it friendly and safe. They apply in game and on our Discord.

The short version

  1. Be kind. No bullying, hate, swearing or adult talk.
  2. Stay safe. Never share real names, ages, addresses, socials or photos.
  3. Play fair. No cheats, x-ray, macros, dupes or exploits.
  4. Respect others. No griefing, stealing, scamming or shiny sniping.
  5. No spam, ads or selling for real money.

Report a player: /report in game. Help and appeals: our Discord.

A. Be kind (chat, names and builds)

  1. Treat everyone with respect. No bullying, threats, hate speech, slurs or discrimination, including about race, religion, gender, sexuality or disability.
  2. Keep it family-friendly. No swearing, sexual or adult content, gore, drug talk or "dating".
  3. Don't get around the chat filter with spacing, symbols or abbreviations.
  4. No spam: repeated messages, all caps, flooding, or mass-mentioning players.
  5. Names, nicknames, Pokémon nicknames, claim and party names, signs, books, skins and builds must all follow these rules.
  6. Don't pretend to be staff, a YouTuber or TikToker, or another player.
  7. Use English in public chat so staff can moderate. Other languages are fine in private with friends.
  8. No politics, religion or real-world tragedies in public chat.

B. Stay safe

  1. Never share personal information about yourself or anyone else: real name, age, school, address, phone number, social accounts or photos.
  2. Don't ask other players for personal information, photos or to move to private apps.
  3. Staff will never ask for your password, account login or personal details. Anyone who does is scamming you: report them.
  4. If anyone makes you uncomfortable, use /report or open a Discord ticket. You won't be in trouble for reporting.

C. Play fair

  1. Only use the CobbleShine modpack and allowed client mods (minimap, performance, shaders, zoom, waypoints). No x-ray, kill aura, fly, auto-clickers, macros, freecam or any client that gives an advantage.
  2. Don't use bugs, dupes or exploits. Report them in a Discord ticket. Using a dupe, or keeping duped items or Pokémon, gets a ban and the items removed.
  3. Being AFK is allowed. Using machines, scripts or tricks to beat AFK detection (for playtime ranks, hunts or rewards) is not.
  4. One account per person for votes, rewards and events. No alts to farm keys, dailies or vote parties.
  5. No lag machines or huge entity, Pokémon or redstone farms that hurt server performance. Staff may remove them.

D. Respect other trainers

  1. No sniping. If another trainer is battling or catching a Pokémon (especially a shiny, legendary or sighting spawn), leave it to them. Don't knock it out, block it or steal the catch.
  2. No griefing, stealing or breaking into builds, chests or farms, claimed or not. Claim your base so it's protected automatically.
  3. No scamming. Trades must be what both players agreed to. Use the trade screen or the GTS. Staff can't return Pokémon lost in a deal made outside the trade screen.
  4. No buying or selling Pokémon, items, keys, CobbleDollars or accounts for real money, gift cards or other games' items.
  5. No unofficial gambling, lotteries or paid-entry tournaments. Free community events are welcome.
  6. Don't harass players in battle: no stalling, quitting to deny wins, or spam-challenging people who said no.
  7. PvP is off. Don't trap or block other players.

E. Staff and the community

  1. Follow staff instructions in game. If you think a decision is wrong, appeal calmly. Don't argue in public chat.
  2. Don't discuss other players' punishments in chat. Report people privately with /report.
  3. No advertising other servers, Discords or socials, and no posting server IPs.
  4. Don't beg staff or players for items, Pokémon, keys or ranks.
  5. These rules also apply on our Discord. A ban in one place can mean a ban in both.
  6. Staff may act on things these rules don't list if they harm players or the server. Big decisions are logged and can be appealed.

How punishments work

  • Small things usually start with a warning, then a short mute. Repeat or serious offences lead to longer mutes and bans.
  • Cheating, duping, doxxing and anything that puts a young player at risk lead straight to a ban.
  • Most offences are forgotten after 90 days with no new problems.
  • Every punishment has a reason you can read.

Lost Pokémon and items

Staff never restore lost Pokémon, items, money or progress, whatever the cause: scams, mistakes, bugs or server problems. Keep your best Pokémon in your PC, and trade only through the trade screen or the GTS.

Appeals

  • Permanent bans and mutes can be appealed after 7 days. A mistake (wrong player, no evidence) can be appealed any time.
  • Muted? Appeal through a private ticket in the #tickets channel on our Discord. Banned? E-mail [email protected] from the address you'd like us to reply to, with your Minecraft name.
  • Appeals are never reviewed by the staff member who punished you. We aim to answer within 72 hours.
  • Bans for child-safety reasons or doxxing can't be appealed.
